Find the Mistake <大家來找碴>

In each text is a mistake where one letter in a word is missing. For example, in #1, "EATS" should be "BEATS". See if you are careful enough to find the tiny mistakes. :)

1. OLYMPIC SHOCK

2. Artist Pablo Cassels, lost his pants on the London Underground last week and he has offered $200 to the person who returns them. Pablo was travelling on the Circle Line from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday the 26th. If you have any information, phone 01723388224.

3. TEST IN ENGLISH (1 hr 45 mins)

Please read the instructions very carefully. Answer all questions in black ink. Lose your answer booklet when the examiner tells you.

4. Very young children will pick up insects and they will even try to eat them. It is important that parents teach their children about the different kinds of insect. For example, it is important they know that bees sing when they are touched.

5. ZOO ATTACK
Police are looking for a man who attacked a young girl in the city zoo. The police now have a picture of the man. He is in his 30s, tall, with blond hair, and a brown bear. He was wearing a blue and white jacket at the time of the attack.

6. Competitors from all over the world are arriving in Ottawa, Canada, for the World Ice-Dancing Championships. Many people think the British will win because they have the strongest tea.

7. Wilson Wynott, the director of the giant Ford motor company, had a heart attack yesterday. He is now recovering in hospital but doctors think that he will be able to return to work next week. Thousands of Ford workers have sent get-well cars to their boss.

8. Tourists come to London to visit the historic buildings, such as the Houses of Parliament, where you can see and hear the famous lock, Big Ben. They also come to visit its theatres, museums and shops, such as the world-famous Harrods, where you can buy anything.

9. Newcastle is a city in the north of England. It has a population of 200,000 people. It has a university, a cathedral and one of the largest hopping centres in the world, the Metro Centre. People from Newcastle have a special name. They are called “Geordies”.

10. Peter Ferguson, manager of Colchester United Football club, has decided not to pay the team’s top goal scorer, Mark Taylor, because he has a bad cold. Mr. Taylor said that he was not happy and that he might ask for a transfer.
